The Three-piece Threaded Valves

The three-piece threaded valve is a kind of chemical pipe fittings. There are T shape and Y shape. There are also reducers. For the junction of three pipes.

The pipe connectors machined by round steel or steel ingot die forging, its connection form is socket welding, the steel pipe is inserted into the socket hole for welding, so it is called "socket pipe fittings", the main manufacturing standard ANSI/ASME B16.11, MSS SP-83, GB/T 14383-2008.

First, the stainless steel 3pc threaded ball valve has the following advantages:

High platform ball valves can be divided into straight-through type, 3pc threaded type and right-angle type according to the channel position. The latter two ball valves are used to distribute the medium and change the flow direction of the medium. The installation and maintenance of the three-piece ball valve should pay attention to the following items:

1. Leave a position for the valve handle to rotate.

2. Cannot be used as throttling.

The stainless steel 3pc threaded ball valve is a relatively new type of ball valve. It has some advantages unique to its own structure, such as no friction on the switch, no easy to wear the seal, and small opening and closing torque. This reduces the size of the associated actuator. Equipped with a multi-turn electric actuator, it can realize the adjustment and strict cutting off of the medium. Widely used in Petroleum, Chemical, urban water supply and drainage and other working conditions that require strict cut-off.

Fourth, its working principle is as follows:

A. Start the process

1 In the closed position, the ball is pressed against the valve seat by the  mechanical[/wiki] pressure of the valve stem.

2 When the hand wheel is turned counterclockwise, the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, and the angular plane at the bottom of the valve makes the ball disengage from the valve seat.

3 The valve stem continues to lift, and interacts with the guide pin in the spiral groove of the valve stem, so that the ball starts to rotate without friction.

4 until it reaches the fully open position, the valve stem is raised to the limit position, and the ball rotates to the fully open position.

B. Closing process

1 When it is closed, turn the handwheel clockwise, the valve stem will start to drop and the ball will leave the valve seat and start to rotate.

2 Continue to rotate the handwheel, and the valve stem is acted by the guide pin embedded in the spiral groove on it, so that the valve stem and the ball rotate 90°at the same time.

3 When it is about to close, the ball has rotated 90° without contact with the valve seat.

4 During the last few turns of the handwheel, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges against the ball to press it tightly against the valve seat to achieve a complete seal.

 

Fifth, the structural characteristics of the stainless steel 3pc threaded ball valve:

1. Open and close without friction. This function completely solves the traditional valve. The problem of affecting the seal due to mutual friction between the sealing surfaces.

2. Top-loading structure. The valve installed on the pipeline can be inspected and repaired directly online, which can effectively reduce the shutdown of the device and reduce the cost. This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.

3. Single seat design. It eliminates the problem that the medium in the cavity of the valve affects the safety of use due to abnormal pressure increase.

4. Low torque design. The valve stem with special structural design can be easily opened and closed with only a small handle.

5. Wedge sealing structure. The valve is sealed by pressing the ball wedge to the valve seat with the mechanical force provided by the valve stem, so that the sealing performance of the valve is not affected by the change of pipeline pressure difference, and the sealing performance is reliably guaranteed under various working conditions.

6. Self-cleaning structure of the sealing surface. When the ball tilts away from the valve seat, the fluid in the pipeline passes evenly at 360°along the ball sealing surface, which not only eliminates the local erosion of the valve seat by the high-speed fluid, but also washes away the accumulation on the sealing surface, achieving the purpose of self-cleaning .
